Everyone who has played a Super Mario video game knows these well.  The Super Mushroom is used differently in the Super Mario video games.  It can be used to give Mario "Super Mario" status, it can give more power to a kart in the Mario Kart series, and it can also make a character GINORMOUS in Super Smash Bros. Melee so it would be very difficult to knock the character off of platforms. Some of the green pipes are warp pipes which can take you to different locations in the game.  Other green pipes may have a piranha plant popping in and out waiting to eat anything that approaches it.  The star is one of the most extremely effective items to use in the Super Mario video games. If Mario can grab a star, he will become Invincible Mario, which makes mario nearly undestructible!
